What do the different ticketing prices mean?
Adult Saturday admission 10am to 7.30pm
Adult Sunday admission – 10am to 3pm
Adult weekend tickets – entry on both days of event
Children under 12 yrs accompanied by and adult – free entry
Companion Cardholders – free entry
Why should I buy my ticket online?
To avoid waiting in line to purchase a ticket at the gate. Book tickets online here
If I book my ticket online, how do I collect my ticket?
Either bring a printout of the ticket you received via email or show your electronic ticket to our volunteer at the entrance gate.
If I lose my ticket, where can I get a replacement?
Please email info@balingupmedievalcarnivale.com.au so we can help reissue your ticket.
I booked the wrong ticket type can I change my booking?
Please self refund your ticket and rebook with the type of ticket you need.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind about attending?
Selfrefunds can be completed prior to the event online via Humanitix
I can’t pay for my ticket by credit card; is there an alternate payment method?
You can purchase a ticket at the gate on the day of the event.
Can I buy tickets at the gate?
Yes, tickets can be purchased at the gate with cash or card.
Can I leave the grounds during the event and return later?
On entry ticket holders will be given a wrist band to wear. Please show your wrist band when leaving or returning the grounds.
Will the event be cancelled if it rains?
BMC is an “All Weather Event”, except in such case of a Major Weather or Emergency or a police event would the Committee cancel the event.
Is there a dress code for the event?
Medieval attire
Where can I hire a Costume?
At the onsite Costume Rooms located in the Community Centre building.
Where I can get cash?
An ATM is available at the Balingup General Store. There are no ATM on the event site, we recommend bringing cash from home.

What parking is available at the event?
There is ACROD and easy access parking off Forrest Street, Public parking on the Village Green and the Balingup School oval, EV parking near skate park. See our event map here
I have special accessibility needs; can you accommodate me?
The entrance and grounds have some gravel paths and stalls are set amongst existing buildings and structures on the Medieval Grounds. Some areas such as the Fighting Arena and the Burning of Dragon pit are on uneven and sloped terrain.
Are Assistance Dogs welcome?
We welcome WA Government Certified Assistant Dogs with accreditation documents and jacket – please present your documentation at the entry gate.
Where are the entrances?
Look for the flags to the left off Brockman Street or via the Village Green off Forrest Street. See our event map here
Are there any bus shuttles to the event?
A free shuttle bus will be available on the hour from the event grounds on Saturday between 10am and 5pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 3pm within the Balingup townsite.

- Balingup Recreation Centre carpark (off South Western Hwy)
- Balingup Transit Park entrance (off Walter Street)
- Balingup Town Hall (off Jayes Road)
- Yarri Park (cnr Teede Street and De Lisle Street)
- Information Bay Bus Stop (South Western Highway) TransWA stop
- Coach Stop (off Forrest Street, near Fire Station)
Where can I camp?
There is no onsite camping available. The Balingup Transit Park located in Balingup is managed by the Balingup Visitor Centre. www.balinguptourism.com.au
What accommodation is available?
A range of accommodation options are available in Balingup and surrounding towns. Please contact the Balingup Visitor Centre, Donnybrook Visitor Centre and/or the Bridgetown Visitor Centre.
When is the event?
The Carnivale is held every year on the fourth weekend of the August.
