HOW TO GET HERE
Balingup is situated in the rolling hills of the Blackwood Valley 250 km south of Perth. It's an easy hours drive from Bunbury in the north, Manjimup in the south and about an hour and a quarter from Margaret River and Geographe Bay.
By road: There are two options coming from Perth to Bunbury - the slightly faster but duller freeway, then onto South West Highway. Alternatively you can follow the more picturesque route and take South West Highway from Armadale, south of Perth - nick-named the 'Harvest Highway'. From Bunbury, South West Highway takes you through Boyanup, Donnybrook, Kirup and Mullalyup.
Public transport: You can catch a train from Perth to Bunbury and then bus/coach to Balingup - or bus/coach all the way from Perth. Both these services have to be booked in advance, and do get sold out, so book early to avoid dissapointment. The train is faster and enjoyable running along the coast and through the grasslands
