COLOUR, SMILES AND SUNSHINE FOR THE 21ST BALINGUP MEDIEVAL CARNIVALE
A record crowd turned up for a weekend full of fun, entertainment, wine tasting and great food.
The combatants of The Grey Company and Knights of the Free Company revelled in the
new fighting arena which enhanced the spectacle and allowed everyone a great view.
A massive crowd watched the burning of the dragon on the Saturday night to the beat of Wasamba drummers.
Returning favourites The Jarrah Celts Band, local musician Mary Myfanwy, Amoura Bellydancer
and Michael Pirateman entertained the crowds.
An amazing group of volunteers driven by a passion for the town of Balingup make this unique carnivale
a success every year and 2017 was the best yet. It was a fitting reward for the effort put in.
But there's no rest for the motivated with a number of ideas on the cards for next year.
If you didn't make it this year, bookmark 25th & 26th of August 2018 for the 22nd Balingup Medieval Carnivale.
