FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Entry wristbands: These are available at the Gate from 9am. Cash or Eftpos
Entry Cost - Saturday $20, Weekend Pass $30,
Sunday $20, Kids under 16 - FREE entry (with paying adult).
Open hours: Saturday 10am-4:30pm and for the Dragon Burning, food stalls until 7:30pm.
What should I bring? It is recommended that you bring: Cash (ATM facilities are limited)
Bags for Market stall Purchases (We sell BMC Logo calico bags at the guild hall)
Warm (layers of) clothes – it is cold in Balingup at this time of year.
Costumes: Most people wear medieval styled clothing.

Where do I park? Parking attendants will direct you to parking spots for a ‘gold coin donation’ .
Please ‘choose respect’ – they are all volunteers of the school P&C.
Animals: NO PETS OR ANIMALS of any kind are allowed at the event.
Assistance Animals are welcome. Please show documentation to the Gate Manager.
Smoking: The Balingup Medieval Carnivale is a SMOKE FREE EVENT.
A smoking area is off site along Brockman St. please dispose of butts thoughtfully.
Photography: You may be photographed by official photographers from Dragancaor Creative -
please be respectful. We might like to use your image for future advertising but
we require and will ask for your permission first.

Weapons: The Balingup Medieval Carnivale doesn't have a weapons policy for the event but
we do follow the law. The public weapons regulations state - A Sword is a Schedule
II weapon - would not be able to be worn in a main street or around the event.
Police have advised that fines for traveling with or carrying any schedule 2 weapon
are heavy. FYI - The re-enactors and performers who are licensed for weapons are
subject to many policies and are heavily controlled.

Accommodation: Usually booked out in Balingup months in advance. Alternatively try nearby towns
Greenbushes, Nannup, Bridgetown, Mullalyup, Kirup or Donnybrook.
